DISCUSSION GROUP
Facilitated by Elmar Altwicker, here is your opportunity to participate in conversation and a stimulating exchange of ideas on topics that range from world events to health care and gun control. The main requisite is that you contribute interesting and challenging view points, have a willingness to listen, and hold a respect for others' opinions and viewpoints. Mondays twice a month, 10:30-Noon.

GENEALOGY GROUP
This is an informal group of people who each work on their own family genealogy. Whether you are just beginning or you have a long standing interest, we encourage you to participate at our meetings, led by Jo Ann Blake. You can work at your own pace. We also schedule trips, and share rides as needed, to places like the NY State Library in Albany, Pittsfield National Archives in Massachusetts, and Family History Center in Loudonville, NY. No experience is necessary; just an interest in exploring your family’s history. 1st Thursday of the month from 1-3pm

LENDING LIBRARY & PUZZLE PORTFOLIO
We have a wonderful lending library with current books arranged by category thanks to our great librarian volunteers. We also have large print books and books on tape. Check out our book case for a rotating supply of puzzles to borrow.

MEMORIES TO MEMOIRS GROUP
Does your family say, “You should write that story down before it is lost forever!”  This class is an exciting way of exploring, recording and preserving the unique tales of your life. Ordinary people do live extraordinary lives and we are each someone’s ancestor. We owe it to ourselves and future generations to record our experiences.  This class is open to adults and seniors who are interested in writing down their stories for future generations.  All levels of ability are welcome.  Mary Sanders Shartle and Elaine Handley will facilitate writing exercises that are fun and engaging.  Participants are encouraged to continue writing practice between classes, but all assignments are voluntary. Offered in the spring and fall: Mondays 10:00-11:30a.m.
Continue writing and reading your memories to a congenial group of people who enjoy carrying on what they learned during the spring and fall classes. Everyone is welcome. Meets year round. Mondays 10:00-11:30a.m.
