SOCIAL GATHERINGS

CONGREGATE LUNCH
At the center we serve a hot and hearty lunch meal every day. Reservations should be made no later than noon the day before. Call the Center’s kitchen to make your reservation. Come also for the delicious specials with featured entertainment. For anyone over 60, the suggested contribution is $2 per meal. Those under 60 are considered guests at $3 each. A monthly menu is available at the front desk.
 
JULIET's (JOIN US LADIES IN EATING TOGETHER)
Enjoy meeting your friends and making new ones. The JULIET's meet each month, at 1 pm on the 1st Saturday, at different area restaurants. Call the front desk to sign up.

MONTHLY MEMBERSHIP MEETING AND ENTERTAINMENT
The third Wednesday of each month is your chance to suggest, applaud, critique, and learn about what’s happening at your center. We invite you to participate in the operations of your center by attending and becoming actively involved in these important meetings. We have refreshments and entertainment including performers, speakers, and demonstrators from some of our many classes. We introduce new members and preview upcoming special events before the next newsletter has been printed. We encourage you to attend and show your support of your Center. September is our annual meeting when members can vote for your Board of Directors.

MOVIES
Join us on the 2nd and 4th Friday of the month at 12:30 p.m. for a free theater showing on our 12 foot wide screen TV with surround sound for some “Oldies but Goodies” and new releases. Popcorn and soda are served. Our movie classics are encoded for the visually impaired and enjoyed by all. 

RED HATS
The Shenendehowa Senior Center chapter of the Red Hat Society meets monthly at different times and locations for great food and socialization. Our President, is Carol Kirk. Wear your red hat and purple outfit and join in the fun! Annual dues $5.00.

ROMEO’S (RETIRED OLD MEN EATING OUT)
Every man, both young and young at heart, is welcome to join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at 5 p.m., at different area restaurants. Call the front desk to sign up in advance.

SINGLES LUNCH BUNCH
You are invited to gather together for a lunch outing once a month for both single men and women.  This is a great opportunity to share your time and thoughts with others looking to do the same.  Put a spark in your life and lets go “out to lunch”. We will meet at 1 p.m., one Saturday of each month at a different restaurant of your choice. Call the Center to sign up.

TRIPS
Throughout the year there are a variety of Center and Joint Venture day and overnight trips are offered to magnificent buildings, shows, gourmet meals, tours and more including places like Lake George, NY, Agawam, MA, and Wilmington, Vermont. Billie Lindstead and Barbara Fingar voluntarily coordinate these trips. Specific information can be found in the Shen Senior News  or at our Trip Corner in the Lobby.

WELCOME BREAKFASTS
We offer a delicious continental breakfast to welcome our newly joined members; and old members are encouraged to attend also. This is an opportunity to learn about the history, operations, and activities of the Center and meet new people over a free meal.  1st Tuesday of every other month, 9:30-10:30 am.
